Highlights About SHJOCM
The Sharjah Old Cars Museum was inaugurated in 2008 as a specialized cultural space dedicated to documenting the history of classic automobiles and presenting the evolution of the automotive industry as part of the technical and social transformations witnessed by the world since the early twentieth century.
The museum houses a curated collection of classic cars, alongside selected motorcycle models, arranged across chronological galleries that trace the development of design, engineering, and function. These exhibits are presented within a documentary context that connects each vehicle to its era and its role in the history of mobility and transportation.
Through its exhibitions and cultural programs, the museum contributes to preserving this industrial and cultural heritage and making it accessible to the public, ensuring that the history of automobiles remains present as a displayed memory and an integral part of Sharjah’s cultural landscape.
